Welcome to City Trip Companion App. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This policy explains how the app use data in other to maximize the user experience. 

How to Start Your Journey

To begin tracking your trip, follow these simple steps:

1. Ensure your GPS/Location services are enabled.

2. Open the app and select your current or boarding station from the 'Start From' dropdown.

3. Select your intended arrival station from the 'End At' dropdown.

4. Tap the 'Start Tracking' button. Once active, the app will display your current position on the route map and alert you as you approach each station in your path.

Location Data

Our app requires high-accuracy location data to track your position relative to train stations. This data is used solely for journey tracking and to send approaching/arrival notifications. Your location is processed locally on your device.

Background Access

To provide continuous tracking while your screen is off or while using other apps, we require background location access. This allows the app to function as an active transit companion throughout your entire trip.

Notifications

We use local notifications to alert you when you are approaching or have arrived at a station. You can manage these permissions in your system settings at any time.

Data Security

This app is not connected to any external server and does not collect any data. All location information is used internally on your device only, and it doesn't transmit to any server.
